The Hellboy comics by Mike Mignola have had a big impact on me. And because I was so intrigued by his way of illustrating I did this self-study back in 2018. Here I challenged myself to redraw and reinterpret characters that had been done by different artist in his style.
In 2022 I continued on with this project because I wanted to turn it in to a custom playing card set. In order to do this I illustrated another 17 characters, making it a total of 54 characters.
